"I recently saw Mr. Lynch's situation profiled on ABC's 20/20 and on Reson.TV. I am a former police officer in California and my father, who was also a police officer, was killed in the line of duty during an undercover drug purchase in 1973. So there is probably no one that knows drugs or the pains they bring than my family and I. However, I am writing in support of extreme leniency for Mr. Lynch. Mr. Lynch was not a friend of mine and we've never even met. I can't give you some great outline of his character that will make us all feel fuzzy inside. I will say that based on the information that I have gathered about Mr. Lynch he is an honest, law abiding, and tax paying American. He operated his business within the law of the State in which he resided. It should not be Mr. Lynch on trial or being sentenced, it should be legislators. Or, we can drill it down further by jailing California's that voted for the use of medical marijuana."
