Lynch Signs Plea Deal January 30, 2024

Lynch Signs Plea Deal to Misdemeanor possession and $2500 Fine wiping away 5 felonies, 5 year mandatory minimum and ending 17 year Federal Medical Marijuana Prosecution

After days of negotiations with High Level Department of Justice officials Free Federal Public Defenders worked out a plea deal between Federal Prosecutors and Charles Lynch. First they wanted 1 year supervision, 5000 fine and misdemeanor possession plea to dismiss the charges. Federal Public defenders finally got a misdemeanor possession charge and a $2500 fine to end the case immediately wiping out 5 felony convictions, a 5 year mandatory minimum and restoring Lynch's constitutional rights. Lynch said he would be putting the $2500 fine on credit cards and would greatly appreciate any donations to help pay the fine. Lynch has learned the hard way Freedom ain't Free.

The final agreement document removed the original Federal Prosecutor's David Kowal's name from the Docket Replacing it with Mack Jenkins the Chief of Criminal Division US Attorneys office. Officials apparently wanted to end the case before the LA Time article was published.

Lynch is scheduled to appear before the Honorable Judge Wu who is expected to approve the deal on February 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Los Angeles Federal Court.
