Worked all day with Rick Ray filming. We drove to Morro Bay and went to the location where the dispensary used to be. We talked with the ladies on the inside and they were very supportive. Next we went outside and talked with Betty Winholtz a Morro Bay City Council member. She has been very supportive and we had a great discussion. We then walked over to City Hall and I talked with the Mayor of Morro Bay on camera. She was very supportive and we had a great discussion too. We then walked around town a bit and ran into some former members of the Dispensary and they talked on camera about thier medical conditions and how disappointed they were that the dispensary had been shut down. On the way home we stopped at the Sheriff's office and we went inside with the camera rolling and I asked to speak with the Sheriff. He was not available at the time so I left him a message to call me. Rick and I then headed on home and continued working on a variety of tasks related to the documentary.

Worked all day with Rick Ray. We set up a green screen and he interviewed and video taped me for the hour long documentary he is working on. Also I copied discovery items and we moved them onto his laptop so he could use the information in the documentary.

Saturday September 20, 2008

Got up this morning at 7am and drove to Los Angeles which is 200 miles one way. Arrived at about 11am and drove to West Hollywood to attend the 2008 Medical Marijuana Expo. I was to speak before the crowd and had prepared a speech. The expo had Los Angeles area dispensaries and other vendors in booths. Rick Ray Films and MSNBC had film crews there to film the event and interviewed me. Also there was a sign making event and I was honored to find that a crew of supporters were busy making signs for the upcoming rally on October 6, 2008. It was a long day and then around 9pm I headed home. At about midnight I finally got home and I was really tired and went to sleep.
